The Government will provide $13.2 million in 2009‑10 to fit out the offices of the Department of Climate Change at 2 Constitution Avenue, Canberra. An accommodation upgrade is required to meet Government security, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards. The fit‑out is expected to achieve the maximum National Australian Built Environment Rating System rating of five stars.

The Government will provide $3.0 million in 2008‑09 for the Department of Climate Change to migrate to a secure information technology network and to upgrade storage and backup facilities.
Provision for this funding has already been included in the forward estimates.
