Purpose

Terms of reference

The purpose of the Fuel Schemes Advisory Forum (FSAF) is to facilitate consultation on fuel tax credit and alternative fuel grant issues between the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), relevant business groups, statutory bodies, and government departments. This desired outcome of this collaboration is effective administrative systems which support the government's policy intent and have high levels of community support.

Governance and relationships

The Deputy Commissioner, Indirect Tax, is the approver of the FSAF.

The FSAF has input into the Excise Compliance Risk Forum and the Excise Product Committee. The Fuel Schemes Intermediaries Forum (FSIF) is a subsidiary of the Fuel Schemes Advisory Forum and reports back to this forum.
