Purpose

Terms of reference

The purpose of the Alcohol Corporate Consultative Forum (ACCF) is to provide key corporate representatives within the alcohol industry, senior staff from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service with a forum for consultation and discussion on issues of mutual concern, regarding the management and administration of the tax system, with a particular focus on:

• excise duties
• equivalent customs duties
• wine equalisation tax matters.

The authority for decision making lies with agreement from the members of the group with the chair having the deciding vote should an agreement not be reached.
