The table below shows the activity statement generation dates throughout the financial year. This is the time when we extract the data from our records to produce the activity statements.

People who elect to receive their activity statements electronically will generally receive them three to four days after the generate date (see below). If you have elected to use the Business Portal you are notified by email that your activity statement is available to access and complete online.

However for activity statements printed and sent via post the timeframe is longer. With quarterly activity statements, because of the high volume of printing required, it can be up to three weeks after the generation date before all statements are delivered by post. For ways to minimise delays see below.

*The generate date may be subject to change at short notice to accommodate other priorities, including urgent system maintenance, changed government or administrative priorities such as the introduction of new government initiatives, or in response to changed community circumstances, such as a natural disaster.
**Where legislative due date falls on a weekend or public holiday the due date is the next working day.
Definitions
Planned generate date

The scheduled date for the extraction of information to enable the generation of activity statements.

Legislative due date
|
The date the activity statement or payment is normally due to be lodged with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The actual due date may vary from this if a lodgment or payment extension is applicable.

Minimising delays
In order for the activity statement to be delivered promptly with the most up to date information, it is recommended that you:
Lodge income tax return
Lodge the income tax return allowing us sufficient time to process prior to the activity statement generate date.

Choose to receive your activity statement electronically to speed up delivery and reduce the impact on our environment.
