The Tobacco Industry Forum (TIF) is a consultative forum that provides key corporate representatives with interests in the tobacco industry, senior staff from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service with a forum for consultation and discussion on issues of mutual concern regarding the tobacco industry.

This forum is chaired by the Assistant Commissioner of Taxation, Indirect Tax, Tom Wheeler. The Secretariat can be contacted by email at TobaccoForum@ato.gov.au

Membership of the forum is decided and approved by the Assistant Commissioner, Indirect Tax. Industry members are drawn from peak bodies representing industries whose operations relate to the manufacture and distribution of tobacco. Membership is ongoing, unless otherwise stipulated.
