Terms we use

When we say:

  • you, we mean you as a registered GST entity
  • GST Regulations, we are referring to the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Regulations 1999
  • purchases, we are referring to the GST term acquisitions
  • GST credits, we are referring to the GST term input tax credits.

Introduction

You float a company when you list its shares on a public stock exchange.

When you float a company, special rules apply to claiming GST credits for the GST included in the price of purchases you make to supply the securities.
