Schools and associated bodies have been granted a deferral of their monthly activity statement for:
- December 2011
- December 2012
- December 2013.
The due date for lodgment and payment (if payment is required) is 21 February 2012, 21 February 2013 and 21 February 2014 respectively, except if we request in writing that lodgment be made by an earlier date.
Eligible schools include:
- pre-primary
- primary
- secondary
- special schools
- other bodies intrinsically linked to these schools such that they close for the duration of the holidays (such as school councils).
Schools do not need to approach us individually to request the deferral. We will identify eligible schools and automatically grant the deferral. The December activity statements will be printed with a deferred due date of 21 February.
In the event that an eligible school does not receive the deferral, they should phone us on 13 28 66 and request the deferral.
Schools will continue to be eligible for the deferral while the Christmas closure arrangements make compliance with the 21 January due date impractical.
In the event that a school industrial instrument changes so that lodgment is possible by 21 January, schools must advise us that they are no longer eligible for the deferral by phoning us on 13 28 66.
