Supporting document requirements for private rulings

This page lists the documents and information we usually need to process private rulings about the subject displayed.

Attention

Please send the following documents and information with your private ruling application form.

Scholarships

  • Are you a full-time student?
  • The name of the course you are studying and the organisation/institution you are studying at.
  • The full name of the scholarship.
  • Who is the scholarship provided by?
  • What date was the scholarship granted?
  • Full details of the scholarship. For example, did/do you receive money or are some of your expenses paid?
  • Details of any conditions of the scholarship.
  • Is the scholarship provided principally for educational purposes?
  • Are there any conditions that require you to be an employee of the scholarship provider or enter into any contract with the scholarship provider that is wholly or principally for labour? Provide the conditions in detail.
  • Does the scholarship involve a guarantee of further employment with the provider, or a related entity?
  • Does the provider, or related entity, have the right to your work as part of this scholarship? If yes, outline the rights in detail.
