Australia

Depending on your circumstances you may need to register for an Inland Revenue Department (IRD) number.

When you apply for an IRD number you will be registered for income tax.

If you would like to register for other tax types (for example, GST), you will need to register for these separately.

If you operate a company in New Zealand you may need to register with the New Zealand Companies Office.

Depending on your circumstances you may need to register for:

an Australian business number (ABN)

goods and services tax (GST)

a tax file number

PAYG withholding.
