Records you need to keep

Your business will need to keep records which support your decision on whether your worker is an employee or contractor and the factors you relied upon.

If you used our Employee/contractor decision tool to determine whether your worker is an employee or contractor, keep records which support how you answered the questions. You can also put a copy of the decision tool result along with your supporting documentation.
