Proposed extension to the petroleum resource rent tax

On 2 November 2011, the government introduced the extension to the petroleum resource rent tax (PRRT) legislative package into Parliament. To help taxpayers understand how the ATO may practically administer the proposed extension to the PRRT, the ATO is progressively issuing early guidance for public comment.
