Questions and answers for super funds

Introduction

These questions and answers are intended to assist super funds and their administrators prepare for the implementation of various super reforms. They are divided into the following sections:

The responses to these questions are largely based on government policy announcements and consultative discussions with the super industry relating to various changes to the super system. These policies continue to be subject to change until confirmed through the passage of legislation. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is regularly updating the information about these changes and how it is anticipated they will be implemented, as additional policy clarity is obtained. Unless otherwise stated, any reference to 'the standard' refers to the SuperStream data and e-commerce standard.
