Overview

On Tuesday 15 June 2010 Commissioner of Taxation Michael D'Ascenzo launched the revised Large business and tax compliance booklet at the Corporate Tax Association Convention in Sydney.

The booklet has been developed through a process of consultation, collaboration and co-design with large business and the ATO. The booklet aims to serve tax managers, their advisors and ATO staff by providing guidance on how we work with large business to facilitate their compliance with their Australian tax obligations.

The statements of mutual expectations in this booklet reflect an approach which promotes frank and open dialogue and outlines the responsibilities of the ATO and large business working together on the tax system.

It details what you can expect from us and what we expect from you, cooperative compliance products and services available to large business and how we manage tax risk.

The booklet also includes information about the products and support services we provide.
