Clean energy future

The bills in the Clean Energy Legislative Package have received royal assent and also the proclamation of their commencement dates. This is part of the government's comprehensive plan to move to a clean energy future. This includes:

  • introducing a carbon price
  • promoting innovation and investment in renewable energy
  • encouraging energy efficiency
  • creating opportunities in the land sector to cut pollution.

We have a role in administering a number of measures relating to the government's clean energy future initiative including:

  • changes to fuel tax credits and excise duty
  • income tax and goods and services tax implications of the clean energy measures
  • personal tax changes
  • small business assistance
  • conservation tillage refundable tax offset.
