Overview

Since April 2009, we have sent around 8.8 million eligible Australians tax bonus payments of up to $900.

Where is my payment?

If you were eligible for the tax bonus payment we automatically calculated your eligibility and entitlements, and sent your payment to you. You did not have to do anything to receive the payment.

Your income tax notice of assessment is the document we send you after we process your tax return.

Lodging your 2007-08 tax return

To be eligible for the tax bonus payment you must have lodged your 2007-08 income tax return by 30 June 2009, unless we granted you a deferred lodgment date before 18 February 2009.

If you were granted a deferred lodgment date before 18 February 2009, you must have lodged your 2007-08 tax return by that date to be eligible for the payment.

From 1 February 2010, all tax bonus payments have been sent by cheque to the postal address given on your 2007-08 tax return. If your postal address has changed since lodging your 2007-08 tax return, contact us on 13 28 61 between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
