Tax breaks for green buildings scheme

The government announced in the Budget 2012-13 that it will not proceed with the Tax Breaks for Green Buildings Program.

The program would have allowed eligible businesses to claim a one-off tax deduction of 50% of the cost of eligible assets or capital works to improve the energy efficiency of an existing building.
