ATO video competition now open

Awards and prizes

There will be three winning videos, which will share a total of $5,000 worth of gift vouchers towards your academic development. Prizes are as follows:

• vocational 1st place - $1,700
• vocational 2nd place - $800
• tertiary 1st place - $1,700
• tertiary 2nd place - $800.

But it's not all about the prizes. Additional benefits include:

• A certificate of appreciation signed by the Commissioner of Taxation (or delegate) for winners and academics that participate and support the ATO in this competition.
• Suitable entries and winning videos will be uploaded to the ATO YouTube channel and promoted through ATO channels.
• A media release announcing winners and participating vocational and tertiary institutions.
• Opportunity for you to include the experience of working with a large government organisation on your resume.

Winners to be announced in November 2013. All winners will be contacted directly.

Selecting the winners

Videos will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of ATO communication professionals. Judges will shortlist videos and decide winners. Winning videos will be chosen based on the entry meeting:

• high overall quality
• ability to meet the communication objectives
• creativity.

Shortlisted videos may also be uploaded to our YouTube channel.

Winning and shortlisted videos may be used on the ATO YouTube channel, intranet and internet sites, and for the purpose of other marketing and communication strategies or campaigns.
