Pre-filling service - e-tax

Availability status

Organisations who report your information to us have until certain dates to send us that information. Most organisations send us their information much earlier than they are required to by law, so we can make it available for you to pre-fill into e-tax sooner; for example:

• employers have until 14 August each year to send us information about their employees' pay as you go (PAYG) payment summaries
• investment bodies, such as banks, have until 31 October to send us information about your investments.

The table below gives you an indication of when information is expected to be available to pre-fill:

System maintenance

Maintenance of our systems occurs from time to time on a weekend, usually overnight. This may affect the pre-filling service.

Leading up to a maintenance weekend, e-tax displays a message advising the dates and times the pre-filling service may be affected, and when it is expected to resume.
