Attachment A

Are your personal tax obligations up to date?

As a registered agent, you play a vital role in influencing and helping support the tax and superannuation systems. It is important for you to keep your personal tax lodgment obligations up-to-date.

The Tax Practitioners Board is the national regulator of registered tax and BAS agents - they administer professional practice requirements, including the Code of Professional Conduct (Code).

Registered agents who fail to meet their personal tax lodgment obligations are at risk of both ATO compliance action and of breaching the Tax Practitioners Board's Code.

If you have any overdue personal tax lodgment obligations, you must lodge them immediately.
