A united front against evasion

CEO's from Wickenby partner agencies met in Canberra recently to discuss Wickenby's progress to date and the focus into the future.

The occasion also marked the end of the first phase of the taskforce and allowed the CEOs to reflect on the significant achievements made so far. ATO Deputy Commissioner Michael Cranston summed up the culture of collaboration forged in the early days of Wickenby, and evident in the continued gathering of the CEOs.

"When I first sat down with the other agencies, I couldn't believe it, it was like I was talking to people from my own department, there was a real feeling of co-operation and shared purpose," Mr Cranston said.

The next Wickenby CEO meeting will be held in November, coinciding with the ATO's centenary, and will be an opportunity to look towards further co-operation between government agencies into the future.
