About ECI - Electronic Commerce Interface (ECI)

To deal electronically with the Tax Office, you will need the ECI software. It can be installed from the ECI CD or downloaded from the Tax Office web site.

The Tax Office will advise you how to obtain the ECI software after we process your completed registration form.

Keys and Certificates

To deal electronically with the Tax Office, you will need to be issued with digital Keys and Certificates in the name of your entity's signatory. Your Keys and Certificates will be your 'digital signature' and ensure the security of your electronic transactions with the Tax Office.

The Tax Office understands your concerns about internet security and so has developed Public Key Infrastructure technology. The Electronic Commerce Interface uses this technology.
