Once you've started dealing electronically with the Tax Office, you may need to make changes to your details, for example:

  • As the Certificate Holder, you may have reason to believe that the confidentiality of your private keys has been compromised. If this is the case, your Keys and Certificates will need to be revoked and re-issued. Any ECI transactions received by the Tax Office using the revoked Keys and Certificates will be rejected.

  • As the Certificate Holder, you cease to be associated with or employed by the business.

  • If the name of the Certificate Holder is legally changed, by marriage or deed poll for example.

  • If there are changes to the primary ABN client information (for example, a change in business name or entity type).

For all of these changes, you will need to complete Change of Details forms. The Tax Office will issue new Keys and Certificates to the nominated Certificate Holder.
