Instructions for
retrieving and submitting your e-BAS/e-IAS
Once you have imported your Keys and Certificates into the ECI application, the Tax
Office will notify you by e-mail when your e-BAS/e-IAS is ready to access.
How to retrieve your e-BAS/e-IAS from the Tax Office web site
1. Connect to the Internet.
2. Start the ECI application.
3. Click on the Business Taxes button to open the Business Taxes menu and then
click on the In Tray menu item to open the In Tray.
4. Click on the Get New Documents button to connect to the ECI Server and
retrieve your form.
5. In the Connect to ATO window that is displayed, check that the organisation
name and user name fields are the same as on your Keys and Certificates.
6. Enter your password (this password is generated by you and is not the same one you
used to import your Keys and Certificates).
7. Click OK to connect to the Tax Office.
Once all of the available documents have been downloaded, a message box displays the
number of documents that were collected. Click OK to close the message box.
All new documents will appear with a New status in the In Tray.
You can now complete and submit your e-BAS and e-IAS electronically.
