What is the superannuation guarantee charge statement and calculator tool?

Attention icon

Recent legislative changes only allow a late payment offset for those contributions paid before a superannuation guarantee (SG) charge assessment is raised. For more information, refer to If you've paid a late contribution.

This tool will help you calculate your total superannuation guarantee charge (SGC) liability for any applicable employees and produce a statement that you can print and send to the ATO. To do this, the tool will prompt you with questions.

If you are unsure whether you paid enough super on time for any of your employees or to the correct fund, you need to use the calculator to determine if you need to pay the SGC. The statement produced at the end will only include those employees for whom you are required to pay the SGC.

Use the Superannuation guarantee charge statement and calculator tool.

Refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQs) for assistance in using this tool.

We suggest you enter a maximum of 100 employee records per session. This could consist of 100 records in a single quarter or 25 records over four quarters.
