Australian Government Policy on Open Source Software

The Australian Government Open Source Software Policy was released on 27 January 2011 and applies to any ICT procurement activity commenced after 1 March 2011. It requires the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to consider open source software when undertaking software procurements.
