Release from your tax debt

If payment of your tax debt would cause you serious hardship, contact us immediately on 13 11 42 to discuss your circumstances. You may be able to apply for a release from your tax debt.

Serious hardship is when payment of the debt would leave you unable to provide food, accommodation, clothing, medical treatment, education or other necessities for yourself or your family, or other people you're responsible for.

We're committed to understanding your situation and individual circumstances and will help you to deal with your outstanding liabilities, where possible.

Depending on your circumstances we may be able release you from some or all of the debt.
