Withholding declarations and variations

Payees should use the following forms to notify their employer or other payer of a change to their withholding rates.

Withholding declaration (NAT 3093)
Payees should use this form to notify their payer of a change to their pay as you go (PAYG) withholding. Payees can use this form to claim their entitlement to family tax benefit or tax offsets by reducing the amounts withheld. This is also the form to use to advise a payer of a change to information provided in a Tax file number declaration (NAT 3092).

Withholding declaration - upwards variation (NAT 5367)
Payees should use this form to authorise an increase in their PAYG withholding.

PAYG withholding variation application - Senior Australians tax offset (SATO) (NAT 5424)
Payees should use this form if they want to reduce their PAYG withholding rate for the year ending 30 June 2012 or claim the Senior Australian tax offset (SATO), or they are receiving payments from multiple payers.

PAYG withholding variation short application (NAT 5425)
Payees should use this application if they want to reduce their PAYG withholding rate on their allowances, Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) or Financial Supplement overpayments, or HELP or Financial Supplement deferral.

PAYG withholding variation application (NAT 2036)
Payees should use this form if they want to reduce their PAYG withholding rate for the year ending 30 June 2012. If a payee has business income or non-commercial business losses, they should complete the PAYG withholding variation supplement (NAT 5423).

PAYG withholding variation supplement (NAT 5423)
This is a supplement to the PAYG withholding variation application (NAT 2036). Payees should use this supplement if they have business income or non-commercial business losses. The supplement must be lodged with a completed NAT 2036.

PAYG withholding variation application (E-variation)
Payees should use this form to apply for the current form for requesting a variation to PAYG withholding (transmittable form).

PAYG foreign resident withholding variation application
Foreign resident payees should use this form to reduce their PAYG withholding rate for the year ending 30 June 2012.
