What if I disagree with the release decision?

Once a decision has been made, you will be notified in writing.

If we refuse release, or we grant a partial release and you are dissatisfied with the decision, you may write to us to object. The letter advising you of our decision will also include information about your review rights.

If you are dissatisfied with the objection decision, you may ask the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to review it. Fees payable for the lodgment of an appeal of this type with the tribunal are paid by the Commissioner.
