ABN registration for companies, partnerships, trusts and other organisations

Overview

There are a number of options available if you need to register for:

  • an Australian business number (ABN)
  • a tax file number (TFN)
  • goods and services tax (GST)
  • fuel tax credits (FTC)
  • pay as you go (PAYG) withholding
  • fringe benefits tax (FBT)
  • luxury car tax (LCT), and
  • wine equalisation tax (WET).

You can apply for an ABN and any of the other registrations mentioned above:

  • online via the Australian Business Register at www.abr.gov.au
  • through your tax agent, or
  • by completing the form ABN registration for companies, partnerships, trusts or other organisations (NAT 2939).
