Reconciliation action plan

The Tax Office's Reconciliation action plan (RAP) is a demonstration of our commitment to the National Plan of Action, which is to reduce the 17-year difference in life expectancy between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. All Government agencies are required to have a RAP in place.

The plan details activities we will undertake as an organisation to help achieve a better future for Indigenous Australians. It covers our commitments in three key areas:

1. employment, career development and access
2. providing assistance to Indigenous Australians
3. cultural awareness and education.
