The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) Taskforce has announced a series of face-to-face community consultations around the country. The consultations will begin on 30 January 2012 in Brisbane.

The taskforce is committed to close consultation with the non-profit sector and Australian public. The consultations will focus on:

  • listening and addressing concerns about the role of the ACNC
  • ensuring there is a high level of community involvement in the development of the ACNC
  • working with the sector to deliver a modern and effective regulator.

A registration form with full details will be available soon on the ACNC Taskforce website.

The ACNC has also started to recruit staff, with a number of positions available.
