Environment protection approval

You are not eligible for a fuel grant if you take any action where both of the following apply:

• approval is required under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act  1999 (EPBC Act)
• you have not obtained that approval.

You need approval for actions that have, or are likely to have, a significant impact on one of the following matters of national environmental significance:

• world heritage properties
• national heritage places
• listed wetlands of international importance
• nationally threatened species and ecological communities
• listed migratory species
• Commonwealth marine areas
• nuclear actions.
