Making tax deductible gifts and contributions

Political contributions

Political parties are not DGRs. However, contributions and gifts to political parties, and independent candidates and members may be claimed as income tax deductions. There are different requirements depending on when you made the contribution or gift. There is also a limit to how much you can claim as a deduction.
