Replace or cancel your digital certificate

Replace my digital certificate

Replacing your digital certificate automatically cancels your current certificate and gives you a new one.

You’ll need to replace your digital certificate or someone else's with a new one when:

  • there's been a name change (digital certificate holder or business entity's legal name)
  • the digital certificate can't be used because it has been corrupted, deleted or it's installed on a computer that has been damaged
  • the digital certificate holder has forgotten their password.

   You must be listed as:

to replace a digital certificate online.

Please contact us on 13 28 66 rather than making your request online if:

  • you are having difficulty using the online facility
  • the digital certificate holder suspects someone knows or has been using their password
  • the digital certificate is installed on a computer that has been stolen.

Cancel my digital certificate

Cancelling your digital certificate will terminate your current certificate. You will not get another one.

You'll need to cancel a digital certificate outright when the:

  • digital certificate holder is leaving the organisation eg got a new job, resigned from the board
  • business is sold or closed down
  • digital certificate holder won't be transacting online anymore.

   You must be listed as:

to cancel a digital certificate online.

  • the digital certificate is installed on a computer that has been stolen.
