Rates for the energy grants credits scheme

Grant rates for the energy grants credits scheme vary depending on the activity and the fuel and are subject to eligibility requirements.

Rates effective from 1 July 2003 are listed below.

1 July 2004 and 31 December 2004 inclusive: $0.39000 per litre

1 January 2005 and 30 June 2005 inclusive: $0.38714 per litre

1 July 2005 and 31 December 2005 inclusive: $0.38429 per litre

Claims made on or after 1 January 2006: $0.38143 per litre.

 

Other products that attract the same rate of duty as diesel and are capable of being used as fuel in a diesel engine (except1, for example, gasoline, coal tar, & coke oven distillates)

For claims made between:

1 July 2003 and 31 December 2003 inclusive: $0.38857 per litre

1 January 2004 and 30 June 2004 inclusive: $0.39286 per litre

1 July 2004 and 31 December 2004 inclusive: $0.39000 per litre

1 January 2005 and 30 June 2005 inclusive: $0.38714 per litre

1 July 2005 and 31 December 2005 inclusive: $0.38429 per litre

Claims made on or after 1 January 2006: $0.38143 per litre.

*To claim a grant for biodiesel, it must comply with the fuel standard contained in the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000.
