It can be used to work out the Super Co-contribution you could be eligible to receive, based on information you provide about your income and
personal super contributions.

You will be eligible for the Super Co-contribution in a year of income if:

For the 2005 - 06 income year only, the maximum co-contribution amount has been increased from $1,500 to $3,000.
Eligibility - from 1 July 2007
In addition to the current eligibility criteria, changes made from 1 July 2007 include;
The Super co-contribution is now available to the self employed providing 10% or more of your total income is from carrying on a business, eligible employment or a combination of both, and
Income thresholds have been indexed. The new lower and upper income threshold are $28,980 and $58,980.

- Note
- - from 1 July 2007 if you have not quoted your Tax File Number to your superannuation fund or RSA your fund will not be able to accept your personal superannuation contributions'.
- - the lower threshold of $28,000 will be indexed each year, and
- - the higher threshold will be the lower threshold plus $30,000.
