We have initiated a detailed design phase to support the implementation of SuperStream data standards. We are leading and coordinating this design effort based on the principles of co-design with relevant stakeholders. This work encapsulates inputs and recommendations from the SuperStream Working Group.

A key element of the process is to engage user groups in co-design walk-throughs and reviews drawing on cross-agency and industry resources.

The purpose of the co-design workshops is to:

  • assist in preparing the standards documentation, including the important message design standard, for formal consultation, review and adoption
  • encourage industry stakeholders to begin assessing their change readiness and change strategies
  • provide the design artefacts which would enable early trialling and testing of elements of the new standard wherever possible.

Treasury has been consulting with the super industry and employers over policy and standards implementation issues raised by the SuperStream recommendations in Stronger Super. This consultation has set the framework for more detailed user-design work being led by us. The key documents and conclusions from the Treasury consultation program are available on the Stronger Super SuperStream site.
