Taxation statistics 2009-10 now available

In April, we released the most recent edition of our most comprehensive statistical publication, Taxation statistics 2009-10.

Taxation statistics 2009-10 contains data extracted from tax returns for the 2009-10 income year, and other tax information for the 2010-11 financial year (for example, data on GST, fringe benefits tax, payments and transfers, excise and superannuation).

The publication includes detailed statistical tables. It is a valuable source of information, not only for researchers and academics, but for any member of the community interested in the figures that underpin our tax and super systems.

Each year we aim to improve the publication. This year's improvements include statistics on the first home saver account initiative, new statistics on the Higher Education Loan Program and workplace-giving programs, and the addition of new detailed tables in several chapters. We have also included a more user-friendly format for the chapter tables.
