Super entities can use the below specification to work out if they have the system requirements they need to receive the SuperMatch report electronically via the electronic commerce interface (ECI).

The report details the outcomes of our data-matching activity, which matches your member's tax file number and the member details that you have provided to us with the records listed on the:

  • lost members register
  • super guarantee system
  • superannuation holding accounts (special account) system (active and inactive accounts)
  • super accounts - all super fund held accounts reported to us where contributions have been received within the two previous financial years
  • super co-contributions
  • unclaimed super money.

You can send us a list of your members and their details by submitting a SuperMatch request via the electronic commerce interface (ECI). Once your request is verified, we will compare the data you have provided with our records.

Details regarding any matched records, including the total number of matches found, are then automatically compiled and returned to you via the ECI as a SuperMatch report.

We will send you a SuperMatch report in response to every SuperMatch request you send, regardless of whether your request includes requests for transfers of credit.

Transfers of credit will be limited to only super guarantee and superannuation holding accounts (special account) active accounts.
