2. Review of action items from 1 June 2011 meeting

Action item	01062011/01 ATO to discuss the issue raised regarding the effectiveness of the Outcome of Lodgment Report (OOLR) for report lodgement reconciliation issues with Unisuper.
Status	Completed Funds lodging reports (e.g. MCS, LMS, etc.) should utilise the Supplier file reference data field to uniquely code the report to assist the reconciliation of OOLR with reports lodged. Funds confirmed that the default value being used in the original file creation date field of OOLR for co-contribution payment variation advices (PVA) will not be an issue while the ATO continues to process PVA's and release related OOLR's without delay. Funds advised they are generally receiving OOLR's within a week.
Action item	01062011/02 Fund representatives interested in working with the ATO to develop the advisory material for industry to use in relation to the electronic lodgment of the personal super contributions form are to nominate by email to sfwgsecretariat@ato.gov.au

Action item	01062011/03 ATO to provide confirmation of the advice provided in response to issues raised in relation to the draft deduction for personal super contributions notice and associated instructions.
Status	Completed This action item duplicates Action item 30032011/18. SFWGSecretariat email issued Monday 22 August 2011 provides responses to questions raised. The ATO advised the form is currently being technically cleared and should be available in October 2011.
Action item	01062011/04 ATO to distribute Temporary Resident Unclaimed Super Money reason code flowchart to members
Status	Completed Paper copy distributed at SFWG meeting Wednesday 1 June 2011. Electronic version of flowchart attached to Draft 1 June 2011 SFWG minutes. It is expected the flowchart will be published shortly. Note Flowchart has been published. SFWG Secretariat email issued 5 October 2011 provided web link. Unclaimed superannuation money - for superannuation providers Members were encouraged to utilise the ATO "Subscribe" service, as it provides updates on various Superannuation (and other tax issues) including when specific forms are published.

Action item	01062011/06 As part of the redesign process, the ATO to review if pre-assessment letters can be updated to provide more information about how much was reported by each fund
Status	Completed This issue has previously been escalated and is included in the program of work being considered for the review of ECT.
Action item	01062011/07 ATO to determine if release authority and payment can be addressed to the one area.

Action item	01062011/08 Funds to provide the member data of examples where members have lodged SuperSeeker requests or other rollovers requests where the fund has already transferred the member's entitlement to the ATO under Unclaimed Super Money provisions.
Status	Completed - SFWGSecretariat email issued Tuesday 19 July 2011 reminding funds to provide examples. Several examples were provided, but to date no response has been provided to Future Plus (Sue Pearce) and Sunsuper (Anne Dixon).
Action item	07092011/02 ATO to follow-up on progress with reviewing the examples cases provided where funds had been contacted by the member about unclaimed monies already transferred the ATO

Action item	01062011/09 - ATO to consider inclusion of the member protection insurance could be included in the "Frequently asked Questions" document
Status	Completed The portability form information sheet issued in July 2011 advises there is no mechanism in the SuperSeeker tool for funds to reject applications, for example where the member's interest has been transferred to another fund or their account balance has been reduced to zero by fees - e.g. Income protection insurance. Funds should follow their existing protocol to inform the member of the outcome. The SuperSeeker webpage provides information to individuals about the things they should consider before they choose to submit an electronic portability form. Existing entitlements including insurance is covered as part of this information
Action item	01062011/10 - ATO to confirm if threshold is to be applied to member accounts provided to funds in the Lost member provision of updated address program.
Status	Completed The ATO confirmed in session that we are working to provide funds with records in accordance with requested thresholds and/or maximum numbers.
Action item	01062011/11 ATO to provide confirmation to funds confirmation of a Lost member statement full re-report process for the period ending 31 December 2011 (due 30 April 2012).
Status	Completed - SFWGSecretariat email issued Thursday 1 September 2011 advised members that LMR report for period 31 December 2011, due 30 April 2012 would be a full re-report process
Action item	01062011/12 SFWG members to identify and email irritants to SFWGsecretariat@ato.gov.au for discussion at the next forum
Status	Completed- SFWGSecretariat email issued Tuesday 19 July reminding funds to respond by Monday 8 August 2011. SFWG Secretariat escalating appropriate issues to SPR or CAS Product Managers for action or for review by CRT to evaluate issue
