What if I can't lodge the form by the due date?

We may grant an extension to lodge information after the due date. However, such requests must be in writing, clearly state the reasons for the delay and include a proposal for an alternate date for lodging the information. Any grant of an extension from us must be in writing.

Failing to lodge information by the due date and not obtaining an extension may result in the imposition of penalties of up to $11,000 (or $55,000 for a corporate trustee).
