The client directory in the BAS Agent Portal displays a full list of all your clients - that is, all taxpayers that have your registered agent number recorded in our specific systems.
The directory can be accessed by selecting Your Clients - Directory from the left-hand menu.
You can choose to display a full list of all your clients or a customised list of client information. Once the list is displayed, you can select a specific client and navigate to the various client details screens:
- client accounts
- client details
- client dealings
- client preferences
- client reports
- activity statements
- payment options
- authorisation summary.
How to get the most out of the client directory
The client directory allows you to undertake a range of functions:
- it can be used as an alternative method of accessing specific client information
- the list can be sorted by
- client name
- Australian business number (ABN)
- you can quickly get a complete list of clients that your registered agent number is recorded against
- you can add or delete a client record through the portal, with changes reflecting immediately in the client directory
- you can also check
- that all your clients are listed and take action to add new clients
- if there are clients listed who you no longer represent, and take action to remove them.

You can not search for a client using a withholder payer number (WPN).

Why some clients may not be included
Security-assessed clients
Clients who are classified by us as 'security assessed' will not appear on the client directory. For privacy reasons, we have restricted access to these clients and their details will not be shown on the portal.
Restricted clients
Clients whom you have classified as 'restricted' will not appear on the client directory. You can restrict who can view a client's details using Access Manager (AM). You may want to do this for clients you have deemed to be 'sensitive', such as high-profile people, politicians or even your own records.
