Revising an activity statement

If you are lodging or revising an activity statement, it is important to make sure the document identification number (DIN) has not already been processed.

Processing problems occur when an activity statement with the same DIN is lodged more than once. This can happen when a paper activity statement or the electronic lodgment has been processed and we then receive a subsequent lodgment with the same DIN. When this happens it can lead to incorrect refunds and account balances.

If you need to revise an activity statement that has already been processed, you can either:

  • submit a revision through the BAS Agent Portal
  • obtain a paper activity statement revision form by phoning us on 13 72 86 Fast Key Code 1 4 1 between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

If you lodge electronically and your client also receives a paper copy, let them know that they do not need to submit the paper copy.
