Research and development tax incentive quarterly credits

On 15 June 2011, the Government announced its intention to introduce quarterly credits for companies entitled to the research and development (R&D) refundable tax offset. Quarterly credits will be accessible for quarters beginning on or after 1 January 2014.

On 12 April 2013, draft legislation was released for public consultation. The Government encourages interested parties to provide feedback on the proposed arrangements for R&D quarterly credits.

Legislation and supporting material

Exposure Draft and Explanatory Memorandum were released by the Assistant Treasurer on 12 April 2013. Submissions close on 10 May 2013.
