Self-assessed lodgment deferrals form for registered tax agents

The Self-assessed lodgment deferrals form (XLS, 74KB) is for self-assessed deferrals only. To access the self-assessed lodgment deferral guidelines, refer to Lodgment Program 2011-12 - additional time to lodge.

You must complete all fields on the form, except for the CAC column where you are applying for income tax and fringe benefits tax deferrals.

This year we are continuing the trial to allow you to submit self-assessed lodgment deferrals up to three business days past the due date for lodgment.

This arrangement does not change the due date for lodgment. This means lodgment will be deferred from the original due date and not the date the request is made.

Lodging using the Tax Agent Portal

To lodge your form using the portal, follow the steps below:

  1. Save a copy of the completed form to your computer.
  2. Log onto the portal and select Mail and New message, then select one of the following:
    • the Income tax topic for Income tax deferrals
    • the Activity Statement topic for Activity statement deferrals (monthly or quarterly)
    • the GST topic for any Annual GST or PAYG withholdings deferrals.
  3. Select Agent self assessed lodgment deferrals.
  4. Select My business or practice to create your portal message.
  5. Select Add under attachments to attach your form, check and then send.

You can list multiple clients on a single form, but every deferral must relate to a similar document type.
