18. Governance report (ATO)

Presentation of governance reports is a standing agenda item at the NTLG which enables the NTLG Sub-groups to provide governance reports and discussions associated with the NTLG Sub-groups to the NTLG.

The chair advised members that the governance report on this sub-committee was presented by the chair to the NTLG on 31 March 2011. The previous governance report for this sub-committee was presented in May 2008.

The chair advised members that the governance report had been well received and the ongoing work of this sub-committee was recognised. It was noted that the sub-committee was working very well, and that there was an appreciation of the ability to raise issues 'off the record' and be given appropriate timely assistance. It was also noted that there is a level of trust and confidence built in to the basis of the relationship of the sub-committee.

The chair thanked Lance Cunningham and Tony Greco for their support during the presentation of the governance report (both are members of the NTLG and this sub-committee).

A copy of the governance report, which is incorporated in the minutes of the NTLG March meeting, was provided to members prior to this meeting
