  • Corporate plan

The ATO is the Australian Government’s principal revenue collection agency and administers Australia’s tax system and significant aspects of Australia’s superannuation system. It administers legislation governing tax, superannuation and the Australian Business Register and supports the delivery of government benefits to the community.

The corporate plan is the ATO's primary planning document and is prepared in accordance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).

Each year, we present the ATO corporate plan that outlines our focus areas and priorities for the financial year ahead.

This year, we will continue to advance our transformation towards 2024, keeping in mind our two aspirations – to build trust and confidence in the tax and superannuation systems and to create a streamlined, integrated and data-driven future. We will focus on the delivery of major projects, improvements to technology systems, and enhancing the client experience and integrity in the system.
