The Privacy Act requires us to comply with privacy principles set out in that Act. We also comply with taxpayer confidentiality provisions in taxation law. These provisions protect information about all taxpayers, whether they are individuals or other kinds of taxpayers such as companies.

We keep your information secure once you have sent it to us. But you should be aware that if you choose to transmit information to us via the web (such as by ordinary unencrypted email), there may be inherent risks associated with transmitting information via the internet. For those who do not wish to use the internet, we provide alternative ways of obtaining and providing information.
