    We make it as easy as possible for people to participate in the tax and superannuation systems and we are investing in our information technology systems to ensure our services are contemporary.

    Highlights
    • Released new online services, including an app for individuals to check the progress of their tax return (available for both the Apple and Android platforms)
    • Released e-tax for the Apple Mac platform for 2012–13 tax returns
    • Met or exceeded all of our 21 service standards
    • Launched Tax, super + you, an online interactive resource to integrate tax knowledge into the education system
    Looking ahead
    • Provide more contemporary online services that match everyday practices of businesses and individuals
    • Develop with other agencies a secure, single entry point to access government services through my.Gov.auExternal Link
    • Communicate our new service commitments which will replace our existing service standards
    • Encourage use of Small Business Assist, launched in July 2013, to provide easy access to information for new and established businesses
    • Publish our online Compliance in focus which explains risks and how we will treat them
