    Lodging your application

Applications for the 2019 Evergreen program open on 28 February 2019 and will close on 14 March 2019. Late applications will not be accepted.

The first stage of the application process is completed online. You will need to provide:

    • your contact details
    • your work history
    • your education details
    • confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

We recommend you have the confirmation of your Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent ready when you start your application.

Once you've lodged your application, you'll receive an email confirmation.

    Reviewing your application

Your online application will be assessed to make sure you're eligible for the program.

Once your application has been reviewed, you'll receive an email advising you if you have met the requirements to move to the next stage of the recruitment process.

    Assessment centre

If you progress to the next round, you'll be invited to attend an assessment centre. This will be in early April.

At the assessment centre, you will be tested on your problem solving, communication and computer skills.

Dependent on your results from the assessment centre, you may be invited to attend an interview. These will be held in mid to late April..

At the interview, you will be assessed on your ability to:

    • adapt to change
    • plan and manage a workload
    • analyse problems and develop practical solutions
    • provide client service
    • build relationships and collaborate
    • communicate.

    Preliminary decision

At this point, your performance from all assessment stages of the process will be reviewed and your suitability determined.

    Final checks and offer

You will be asked to provide the name and contact details of an employment referee.

We'll conduct a reference check and number of pre-employment checks – eg police clearance. Any offer of employment will be subject to the results of these enquiries being satisfactory.

If satisfactory, you can then accept the formal offer and start your career with us in late June 2019 .
